GALLERY

My artwork is born from a quiet devotion to nature, culture, and the luminous possibilities of oil paint. I work in the Renaissance tradition of layered glazing, thin, transparent veils of colour laid gently over a monochrome underpainting. Each layer deepens the light, allowing colours to breathe and mingle optically, building a quiet radiance that cannot be achieved in a single stroke.

This slow, meditative process mirrors the way I experience the world: observing closely, honouring small details, letting meaning emerge gradually. My years of living and working across different cultures have shaped my eyes and my imagination. Landscapes, textures, stories, and the subtle spirit of a place often become the starting point for my paintings.

Nature remains my constant muse—the shifting sky, the softness of leaves, the movement of water, the quiet poetry of light. In painting these impressions layer by layer, I try to preserve the feeling of standing within them: not simply seeing nature, but being held by it.

My work, at its heart, is a conversation between old techniques and lived experience—between the timeless glow of glazing and the ever-changing beauty of the world around me.

I hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed creating

“The power of nature is such that it’s what all art strives to be. The more we can get in tune with the harmony of the planet, the more our art can benefit from that relationship”
